A heirloom variety that produces mild and sweet flavoured roots!  As the name suggests, turnips will be purple on top with a white round body.  Best flavoured roots are those that measure 2"-3" across; flavour tends to decrease as the size increases.  Young turnip leaves can be used as 'southern greens' and perfect for soups, vegetable gratin, or baked alongside other root vegetables. Packet includes 50 seeds.
